Qualifications and experience:
For Post No.1: B.E./B.Tech. (or equivalent professional examination like AeSI or AMIE) in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering.
Required skills:
Candidates should have knowledge and competence in the following:
(a) Installation, operation & maintenance of sensors, gauges, measuring instruments and data acquisition systems.
(b) Assembly of test facilities and models.
(c ) Basic knowledge of electronic, electrical machines and manufacturing processes.
Desirable: Experience (academic/industrial) in experimental project work.
Job profile:
The job primarily involves assembly and maintenance of teaching apparatus such as wind tunnels and their accessories/sensors/gauges, regular calibration of measuring instruments and
transducers, machining and mounting test models in the tunnels, demonstration of the working principle of the apparatus to the students, verification of the data acquired by the students,
assisting in experimental projects etc., laboratory administration including procurement, inventory management etc.
For Post No.2: B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics/ Instrumentation Engineering.
Required skills:
Candidates should have knowledge and competence in the following:
a) Instrumentation and Engineering measurement.
b) Control system theory.
c) PCB making, soldering.
d) Good knowledge of electronic circuits, electrical machines.
Desirable: Experience (academic/industrial) in experimental work, exposure to standard modeling and simulation tools like Matlab/Simulink, Labview, Scilab etc. and/or familiarity
with HardwareInLoopSimulation, RealTimeOperatingSystem etc. will be given additional weightage.
Job profile:
The job primarily involves assembly and maintenance of teaching apparatus related to study of control theory, such as thermal, electromechanical, fluid, mechanical systems.
Use and demonstration of sensors for displacement, velocity, acceleration, angular rate, air speed, altitude etc. Assembly of circuits on break board, PCB etc. Data acquisition and
control using software like Matlab, Labview etc. Interaction with students/faculty and assisting in experimental projects etc., laboratory administration including procurement, inventory
management etc. Instrumentation and electronics support for all the laboratories.
Pay band : Rs.930034800
with Grade Pay of Rs.4200/(Total emoluments on the minimum of the pay band is Rs.26851/per month including HRA)
Age limit : 32 years (relaxation as per rules)
